Ekteparet Andy og Heidi startet med å produsere eget utstyr under en overvintring i Canada på 80-tallet. De introduserte sine første telt under navnet Exped i 1997. Siden den gang har Exped konstruert høykvalitets friluftsutstyr for aktive turentusiaster. Exped utmerker seg med innovative produkter, spennende og funksjonelt design innen telt, liggeunderlag, sekker og soveposer. Dette i kombinasjon høy kvalitet gjør produktene svært populære.

Osprey ble skapt i California, i 1974, med en enkel symaskin, med et hode fullt av ideer og et ønske om å designe og utvikle innovative ryggsekker av høyeste kvalitet. Dagens Osprey-produkter fortsetter i samme pionerånd, og blir brukt på alt fra de høyeste fjelltopper til de mest avsidesliggende øyer og overalt i mellom. Vi har et stort utvalg av sekker fra Osprey, alt fra løpesekker rundt 10 liter til testvinnende bæremeiser og storsekker over 100 liter.

Osprey produserer også en del tilbehør og turutstyr som regntrekk, pakkposer, kameravesker, toalettmapper og pengebøker.

Som 14-åring designet Wayne Gregory sin første ryggsekk i forbindelse med et prosjekt i speideren. I den sammenheng kom han i kontakt med eieren av en amerikansk sportskjede som solgte og produserte turutstyr. Eieren var imponert over Wayne’s design, og de nest årene kunne man regelmessig finne han på sportskjedens fabrikk for å kjøpe råmaterialer eller klekke ut nye sekkeideer.

I 1977 startet han Gregory Mountain Products i San Diego, California. Han åpnet et utsalgssted der han produserte sekkene bak på lageret. Han fikk tips og tilbakemeldinger fra kundene i butikken som han brukte for å videreutvikle sekkene.

Gregory var den første sekkeprodusenten med flere rygglengder og forskjellige størrelser på hoftebeltet og skulderstroppene. De er kjent for sitt innovative design og ergonomiske og komfortable passform.

I 1990 ble Sea to Summit etablert av to australske turkompiser, Tim Macartney og Roland Tyson, et selskap som produserte innovativt lettvektsutstyr for reise og friluft. I dag driver de fremdeles selskapet, og de har vokst til over 50 ansatte og produktene deres selges i over 35 land. Sea to summit har et bredt spekter av turutstyr, og hos oss finner du blant annet liggeunderlag, kajakkutstyr, lakenposer, vanntette pakkposer, kartmapper, oppblåsbare puter, turhåndkle, turkjøkken, turbestikk, tursåpe, pakkbare ryggsekker m.m. Alle med produsentens filosofi om lettvektsutstyr tiltenkt gramjegeren som verdsetter kompakte men slitesterke produkter.

Petzl er et fransk firma som produserer klatreutstyr, utstyr for ferdsel i canyoner og huler, hodelykter, samt redningsutstyr for utsatt landskap. Firmaet ble grunnlagt midt på 70-tallet av Fernand Petzl. Petzl er kjent for høykvalitets utstyr som Grigri’en som er en selvlåsende taubrems for sikring av klatrere

Black Diamond ble født fra Chouinard Equipment og var en naturlig fortsettelse av lidenskapen og etosen som Yvon Chouinard og vennene hans startet i 1965. Peter Metcalf og de ansatte i Chouinard Equipment tok over i 1989, endret navn til Black Diamond og flyttet til Salt Lake City, for å være ved foten av Wasatch-fjellene.

Siden 2009 har Db vært fokusert på å utvikle de beste produktene for praktisk reise. Sekkene har fått internasjonal oppmerksomhet, og i 2012 var skibagen til DB finalist for Innovation of the Year på den største sportsvaremessen i verden – ISPO i München, Tyskland.

Da de navnga selskapet for nesten et tiår siden, var Douchebags et fellesskapsforslag som de syntes var morsomt og minneverdig. Men med årene ble navnet mindre ironisk. Så de bestemte seg for å gjøre en endring og heter nå DB.
