Bli med på et uforglemmelig møte med eventyreren som i løpet av sin studietid på NTNU og MIT har rukket å bestige seks av ‘The Seven Summits’ – det høyeste fjellet på hvert av de syv kontinentene.
Etter mange år med trening og forberedelser nådde Thomas toppen av Mount Everest, 8848 moh, den 16. mai i år. Vi er så heldige at han kommer til oss for å fortelle om sine opplevelser og erfaringer fra kjente og mindre kjente fjell verden rundt, og snakke om hvordan han har klart å finne både tid og penger til slike ekspedisjoner ved siden av fulltidsstudier og en ellers aktiv hverdag.
Thomas planlegger i disse dager siste etappe i målet om å bli Norges yngste gjennom tidene til å fullføre ‘The Seven Summits’. Allerede første juledag går ferden videre til Antarktis der han skal forsøke å bestige det syvende og siste fjellet, Mount Vinson.
Med seg i sekken skal han ha et flagg som det vil være mulig å signere under foredraget ved å bidra med et valgfritt beløp til ekspedisjonen hans. På den måten kan DU være med på ferden til toppen av verdens kaldeste og tøffeste kontinent!
Enten du vil la deg inspirere av halsbrekkende historier, klatre høye fjell selv eller er interessert i ekspedisjoner generelt er dette definitivt foredraget for deg.

Thomas Lone
Thomas Lone er fra Bærum, men studerer marin teknikk ved NTNU i Trondheim. Da han begynte å studere til å bli sivilingeniør for tre år siden, fikk han ideen om å bestige ‘The Seven Summits’.
